We Planted 100,000 Trees, Thanks to You!

Did you know that every 1.2 seconds, the forest area the size of a football field is destroyed? This isn’t something we at VidDay can sit by and watch. So, in 2020 we committed to planting one tree for every video sold.

Thanks to our customers and the help of One Tree Planted, we’ve now been able to plant 100,000 trees!

We believe people have enough stuff. So why gift something material?

Gift something that's filled with experiences and memories. It will mean so much more to the recipient — like a VidDay video.

We’re zero-emission, delivery-free, and now we’ve been able to make a lasting impact across the globe.

Our team is proud to be part of a movement that doesn’t contribute to consumerism and negatively impacts global warming. It’s one of our core brand values: to be a positive force in the world, for people, the community, and the planet.

How did VidDay plant 100,000 trees?

As we’ve been working on the VidDay platform and helping our customers connect, we’ve also been working hard in the fight against deforestation around the world — including British Columbia in Canada, California, Australia, and the Amazon Rainforest.

For every video sold, we donate $1 to One Tree Planted to plant a tree.

100,000 trees is a lot. But it’s hard to visualize. So how exactly have your VidDay gifts helped reforestation?

What do 100,000 trees look like?

To understand the impact of 100,000 trees, you have to understand the effects of one tree.

A large, fully-grown tree can:

  • Become a home for mammals, insects, fungi, moss, and plants — building a new community

  • Provide a day’s oxygen for up to four people

  • Discharges 100 gallons of water into the air in one day

  • 500 trees can absorb the carbon dioxide produced by a car that's driven 13,000 miles!
