Communications Specialist

We’re looking for a talented Communications Specialist to assist in building VidDay’s brand and awareness globally through media outreach and content development.

The ideal candidate will have experience in Public Relations, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing.

In this role, you’ll be a key early member of the team and help set processes and workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a communications plan for media outreach
  • Assist in the execution of VidDay’s social media plan
  • Research and write press releases, and content for VidDay’s blog
  • Acquire and maintain a detailed knowledge of the company’s policies, principles, and strategies, and keep up-to-date with relevant developments
  • Adhere to our brand guidelines, ensuring that we produce a high-quality and error-free copy
  • Work with key internal role-players to brainstorm content ideas, in line with the company’s strategy and in support of various brand initiatives
  • Support and evaluate results of communication campaigns with the team
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists and key external role-players


  • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience
  • 1-2 years experience in communications strategy development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Work well under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms
  • Proven social media and networking expertise
  • Strategic and creative mindset
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • A portfolio of work available for review

Business Developer

Our business is growing rapidly, and we need a skilled Business Developer to acquire and manage new client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have experience in B2B sales, as well as skills related to strategic analysis and marketing.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing relationships with our clients, negotiating contracts and closing deals. We will rely on you to partner with our marketing department to conduct market research and develop a strategic business development plan.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify potential clients in the target market and complete appropriate research on the prospective client’s business needs
  • Develop relationships with prospective clients, while maintaining existing client relationships
  • Create contract-winning proposals for current and prospective clients
  • Negotiate contract terms with clients and communicate terms to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure contracted product specifications are executed on-time and as agreed
  • Become a subject matter expert on our business products, processes and operations, and remain up-to-date on industry news


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in related field
  • Demonstrated achievement in B2B sales
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation of group presentations
  • Proficiency in Google Suite applications, including Docs, Sheets, and Slides
  • Basic understanding of the video gift space, with the ability to become a subject matter expert on the job
  • Innovation and problem-solving skills

Customer Care Specialist

Are you a kind, happy-go-lucky person that enjoys helping others? If yes, you’ll be the perfect fit for this job.

This opportunity is relevant for anyone with 2 or more years of Customer Service experience. Working with a team to help us harbor lasting relationships with our customers and helping to navigate the ins-and-outs of our product.

Key Responsibilities

  • Give our customers world-class customer service
  • Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers at all times
  • Ability to deal with complex inquiries and independently make decisions to solve concerns
  • Strong communicator and able to adapt to a variety of audiences and situations
  • Collaborative spirit needed to work closely with all team members​
  • Ability to stay composed and organized in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues


  • Minimum two years’ customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Slack platform is an asset
  • Knowledge of LiveChat is an asset (not a requirement)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English. (French is a bonus)
