What Is a VidDay Invitation Page?
Every VidDay event — from birthdays and weddings to retirements and graduations — comes with a unique, shareable invitation page. This page is your central hub for collecting video messages and photos. It’s fully customizable, allowing you to tailor the visuals, message, and overall tone to match the occasion and make it feel personal for your guest of honor.
Step-by-Step Guide to Customizing Your VidDay Invitation
Step 1. Open Your Invitation Editor
Start by logging into your VidDay event page. Click on the Send Invites card — this opens up the editable version of your invitation page, the one your guests will see when they upload their content.
Step 2. Upload a Photo of the Recipient(s)
Adding a friendly, recognizable photo helps make your invitation more personal and visually engaging. Simply upload a clear photo of the recipient — it’ll be featured prominently on the page, helping guests connect emotionally from the moment they land on it.
Step 3. Choose a Banner That Matches the Occasion
Whether you're making a birthday tribute, retirement farewell, or baby shower video, VidDay offers a range of banner styles to suit the occasion. Pick the design that feels most fitting to your celebration.
Step 4. Write a Warm, Personal Message (or Record One!)
Text Message: Customize the default welcome text to explain what the group video is about and why each message matters.
Optional Video Message: You can also record a short welcome video directly from your device. It’s a great way to energize invitees and set the mood.
Step 5. Add Prompt Questions to Inspire Better Messages
Not everyone knows what to say. Help them out by including up to three creative prompts. These appear on the invite page and guide guests to share more thoughtful, funny, or heartfelt contributions.
Examples:

Step 6. Set (or Adjust) a Submission Deadline
