Finalizing

How to Preview Your VidDay Group Video Before Finalizing

Before you hit “Finalize,” you can see exactly how your VidDay video is shaping up — with free, unlimited previews.

Previews let you check the vibe, flow, and details of your video, so you can make sure it's just right before wrapping it up.

1

Go to the Preview Section

From your Event Page, click the Preview card.

This brings you to a section where you can generate a test version of your full video montage.

2

Click “Make a Preview”

That's it — no settings to configure.

Click the button and your preview will start rendering. The time it takes depends on how much media you've added, but most previews are ready in under 30 minutes.

You'll get an email when it's finished.

Quick Tip

Wait until most of your clips and photos are uploaded before creating your first preview — it'll give you a more complete picture of your video, and reduce the need for extra previews.

3

Watch & Review Your Preview

Once your preview is ready, you can:

  • Watch how the video plays from beginning to end
  • Check the clip order and photo duration
  • Listen to your chosen background music
  • Look out for anything that needs a tweak

This is your chance to spot anything you want to change before finalizing the full version.

4

Make Changes

See something you'd like to adjust? You can:

  • Reorder clips
  • Adjust background music
  • Change photo timing
  • Edit individual video or photo clips

After editing, just click Make a Preview again. You can preview your VidDay as many times as you need.

Heads up: If your video is still missing a lot of media, you may want to wait until more submissions are in — so you don't waste time re-rendering too soon.

What's the Difference Between Previewing and Finalizing?

ActionWhat It Does
PreviewCreates a free, low-res version of your video that you can watch and edit afterward
FinalizeLocks in your edits and creates your final, high-quality downloadable video

Previewing doesn't commit you to anything — it's just a tool to help you fine-tune your creation before the final render.

So head to your Event Page and click Preview to generate a test version you can watch and refine — all before you finalize your masterpiece.
