Your VidDay Event Page is the central hub for building a surprise group video.

It's where you'll collect messages, customize the look and feel, and organize everything into a meaningful gift — without the stress. Follow these steps to learn how to get the most out of your Event Page.

Your Event Page is more than a workspace — it's the control center for your entire video project. Here's what you can do from this one place:

• Send out invitations to collect messages
• Customize your video's theme and background music
• Add, arrange, and edit all your media clips
• Track your total video length in real time
• Enable gifting features like Group Gifting or Tree Planting

To start building your video, click the Add Media button.

You can:

• Upload photos, videos, and audio files
• Record a video message directly from your device
• Add stock images from our royalty-free image library
• Choose GIFs from our animated GIF library

You can also click Add Text to insert text cards for titles, intros, or short notes.

Everything you add appears in your media gallery — a simple drag-and-drop grid (not a timeline) that makes arranging clips easy and intuitive.

To make changes to any item:

• Double-click a thumbnail to open the editing view
• Use the buttons and toggles to:
• Edit (trim video clips, rotate, apply filters, etc)
• Mute audio
• Fade background music
• Adjust length or featured photos or cards

At the top of your gallery, you'll find a toolbar with handy controls:

• Change the thumbnail size to see more (or fewer) items at once
• Filter by media type — helpful for highlighting certain items and staying focused while editing
• Access quick controls by clicking on one or more media items — these are shortcuts to common editing toggles

These tools make it easier to manage larger projects with many contributors.

Need to remove something?

• Click the archive icon to remove media from your gallery
• Or choose to permanently delete items from your archive folder

Your archive folder sits just below the gallery for easy access.

At the top of your media gallery, you'll see a running total of your video's duration. This updates automatically as you add, delete, or adjust media — giving you a live update of the final video length.
