How to Invite People to Join Your VidDay Group Video

Once you've personalized your invitation, it's time to bring everyone on board!

Whether you're planning a birthday, retirement, anniversary, or any special occasion, VidDay gives you flexible, trackable ways to invite people — and makes sure no one gets left behind.

Open the Invite Options

From your VidDay Event Page, click the Send Invites card.

Then, navigate to the Invite Options tab. This is where you'll find every method for inviting people to join your video.

Use Smart Invites to Send and Track

Smart Invites are the easiest way to send invites and keep track of who's in — and who might need a reminder.

VidDay automatically monitors submissions and sends follow-up messages to anyone who hasn't contributed yet.

You can choose from three Smart Invite methods:

Connect Your Address Book

Import contacts directly from Google, Outlook, or your Android and Apple device.

Pick the people you want to invite and send messages via email, SMS, or both.

Single Send

Manually enter names and contact info one at a time.

This method is ideal for small groups or when you want a more personal touch.

Upload a CSV File

Perfect for larger groups or workplace events.

Just upload a spreadsheet with names, emails, or phone numbers — VidDay provides a template to help you format it correctly.

Smart Invites handle reminders automatically, so you don't have to follow up manually.

Share Your Invite Link Anywhere

Want to send your invite in a group chat or digital card?

Use your unique Invite Link — perfect for messaging apps like WhatsApp, Messenger, or even event pages.

You can:

Copy and paste the link wherever you want
Share it in group texts or social media
Embed it in calendar invites or e-cards

VidDay even generates a ready-to-send message that includes your link.

Track RSVPs Automatically

When someone clicks your Invite Link, they'll have the option to RSVP — letting you know they intend to submit a message.

You'll see who plans to contribute
VidDay will send them gentle reminders to participate before the due date

Monitor Your Invite List

As people RSVP or respond to Smart Invites, they'll appear in your Invite List.
